Health Workshops
Through evidence-based training methods we create hands-on, interactive interventions that include scenarios, skills practice, and performance-based experiences. We focus on lived experiences, hands-on learning, and reflection. Our workshops include facilitated discussion to improve both individual and community health outcomes.
“Christie knows how to reach her audience. She is an engaging, passionate speaker who does a wonderful job of simplifying complex topics.”

Topics for Nonprofit & Health Professionals
Social Determinants of Health and Health Equity
Our zip code impacts our health more than our genetic code. The United States spends more on healthcare than any other country in the world, yet we experience some of the worst health outcomes in the developed world. This workshop will address the social factors that influence our health, along with health equity and community solutions. We recommend this workshop as a multi-session educational event, which includes facilitated discussion and community dialogue.
Addressing Bias in Healthcare: Tools for Change
We know there is a profound impact on the health of marginalized populations as a result of bias and inequities in healthcare. These disparities include mistreatment, delayed diagnosis, and dismissal of health concerns. We have created a day-long workshop for nonprofit and healthcare professionals to address these public health concerns.
A Stronger Patient Voice: Health Literacy
How do we better partner with patients and community members to provide them with improved health outcomes? When we educate patients on how to prepare for their medical appointments, and what information they need to share with their medical providers including their medical history, family history, and how to share their medical concerns in a constructive way, they will feel more engaged in their care.
“The Find Your Voice workshop is a crucial tool for women, people of color, LGBTQ folks, and anyone who has ever felt ignored or marginalized by our healthcare system.”
I worked with Christie at CVH Consulting to offer the “Find Your Voice” workshop to our community and fellow activists. The workshop was nothing short of incredible. It was empowering to learn how to be your own best advocate in a medical setting and validating to hear that many people share similar challenges navigating the healthcare system.
